At the heart of what we do here at Grand River Sign Design is support your marketing strategy. Our team has collectively spent decades on the marketing scene; we’ve seen it all! Here are some simple things you can quickly and easily do to support your marketing strategy today.
Update your signage: Surprise, we put signs in the Number One spot! That’s not just because we’re biased, it’s because ordering new signage is a quick and easy way to update or refresh your brick-and-mortar shop, and support your latest promotion or product, or even just make it easier to find you.
Simplify your marketing routine: If you feel like you’ve got too many pieces of your marketing strategy to keep track of, you’re probably right. Go over your statistics and analytics to identify two or three pieces that are working, such as your e-newsletter or social media posts, and focus on that for a few months while you decide whether to re-introduce other aspects or do away with them entirely.
If you don’t have social media, or you only sort of use social media, invest a little more time in social media. The beauty is that you can try something out for a fraction of the time and cost of traditional advertising.
Get in touch with your customers and find out what they like, and what they’re looking for. Strong advertising campaigns are designed with a very specific market in mind, so know your audience. Send out a survey to your email contacts, on your social media feeds, and leave some paper copies at the counter. Take a look at reviews of your business posted on Facebook, Google, Yelp and others for more information. Use the results to form your next campaign, or to review your own policies and procedures to provide the best customer service experience you can.
Become a well-known figure in your field. Members of the media know who to call when they need a quote for a story because they build a network of contacts. Send out some press releases and get on those contact lists! In addition to traditional media, contact other businesses who offer a potential partnership opportunity and offer to write a guest blog post for them or offer exchange benefits that will get your company name out there a little bit more.
Read over your entire website to ensure it is up-to-date and that everything works as expected. Click on menus and links to see where they go, and decide whether it’s time to update photos and bios. Your website is often the first thing a new customer sees of your brand, make sure you like what they see.
